Monday enters Norway

This autumn, the production company Monday opens up a branch in Oslo, and with that will have established themselves in all three Scandinavian countries in only three years.

In a bidding round, Monday has won the content productions rights to C More’s sports production in Norway, and from next year they will be providing the sporting contents to Canal9 and Canal + in Norway.

“It is an amazing order for us. We are already providing the sporting contents to C More’s channels in Denmark and we are very excited to begin production in Norway. It is big privilege for us to work with such an ambitious and dedicated sports broadcaster as C More,” says CEO, Morten Bank.

The sporting production of Monday is headed by the company’s Scandinavian head of sports, Anders Bay, and the managing editor in Norway will be Kristian Oma who comes from a job at TV2 Norway. The primary focus will be on the Norwegian Tippeliga where C More has the rights to six live matches in each match round as well as the many international football leagues such as La Primera Divisíon, Seria A and Europa League.

“We are now putting all of our effort into providing a production that will live up to C More’s strong properties. And long term, it is our ambition to expand with other types of TV productions, exactly as we are doing in Denmark, says Morten Bank.

Beyond the sports for C More, Monday also produces a wide range of programmes in Denmark for among other TV 2, TV3 and MTV. Monday also has a branch in Stockholm, which among other provides programmes for TV 4 and Canal+.
